This group of plastics is characterised by its unique mechanical features such as wear resistance, compressive strength and impact resistance. As a result it is generally used in components for the purpose of machine construction.
Within the Polyamide group, generally called ‘Nylon’, we identify different types. The most important are: PA 6, PA 66 and PA 12. The differences in physical properties between these types are primarily determined by their modification with additives and the structure of their molecular chains.
PA is generally used in plain bearings, wear plates, guide rollers, conveyor rollers, tensioning rollers, cable pulleys, scrapers and gearwheels. The application of PA contributes to an optimal machine system and ensures low wear which reduces maintenance costs. By adding various additives, such as oil, MoS2 or wax, we can recommend the right material for your specific application.
